|Yeah, at the risk of sounding cynical I'd point that out. I'd
|say walk, don't run to your nearest music store and see if you
|can find something by Jane Siberry in the used bin to try. If
|not, give in sooner or later and lay out the ten to fifteen bucks
|for something new. You may like it. Siberry's obviously
|talented, she has a couple of songs that I really like, but
|overall she's not my cup of tea.

Well, I can't honestly say that all of her stuff is the best in the universe,
but, I will say that 'The Walking' and 'The Speckless Sky' are among the
best in the universe. 'The Walking' is one of those albums that I listen to
at least once a week. It has been the most emotional album I've ever
listened to, and at times I find myself all out bawling. This can be
very embarrassing if you are on your way to work or something, but if you
have the time, it can be very fulfilling. It seems the whole album's thread
is one of breakup, isolation, distortions of relationships, and all out
despair. I can only think that she must have gone through one hell of a
time to write such moving songs. Being a songwriter myself, I can do
nothing else but aspire to such greatness. To have the ability to move other
people in such an intrusive way is a gift.
