Um, would you except a "probably"?  I honestly have no idea, though it would
certainly make sense for it to be a sample.  I can't imagine KaTe
bringing in a soldier and telling him to, "watch the conductor and slam
the bolt on your rifle as marked on this sheet."  (though it might have
been rather funny to watch...;-)  On the other hand, I find it kind of 
doubtful that that sound would be a preset on a Fairlight, so she must have 
gotten the sample from a real gun.
