To: Love-Hounds From: Andrew Marvick (IED) Subject: MisK. IED thanks Paul Gillingwater for his very informative posting about Dervishes. It explains a lot about the relevance of the Dervish dance tradition to Kate's own themes. Michael Scott makes some very rash and totally unsupported statements to the effect that Kate had what he terms "a crush" on Lindsay Kemp, and that "Wow's reference to Vaseline is a direct reference to Kemp. Nonsense! There is no evidence that this is true, so far as IED is aware. If there is, please produce it, or stop uttering rot. Paul H.: thanks very much for the info on "Feel It Live". IED thinks there is something fishy about the program source for this Italian CD, based on your description. If there is highly audible surface noise, the source is probably _not_ the Hammersmith laser-disk. The reference to "sixties amateur equipment" sounds wrong, too, since the Hammersmith tape was very well recorded in 1979. Yet the timings confirm that the source was indeed the Hammersmith Odeon original. Odd. -- Andrew Marvick (IED)
