In article <38F402B1E19F406945@ccit.arizona.edu> FIRCH@ccit.arizona.EDU (just jill) writes: >Can someone help me with the difference (other than the obvious!) between >the Japanese set and the English one? They want $175 for the Japanese >set and I can get the other for about $135. Differences: 1. The cover of _The Kick Inside_ is different. The British cover is the "kite" picture; the Japanese cover is the "pink outfit" picture. 2. The cover of _Never For Ever_ is different. The Japanese box set uses a blow up of the regular cover. 3. There are two booklets, not just one. The extra one is apparently a complete biography of Kate. Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese. 4. Each of the albums, including the two extra ones, comes with a booklet much longer than the British ones. The booklets each contain lots of writing in Japanese, as well as the lyrics for the album in both Japanese and English. This means that the lyrics for the two extra albums ARE included in the Japanese box set. To me, this is the most important difference between the two sets. 5. I've heard, but cannot confirm, that the Japanese set sounds better. -- Ed Suranyi ed@wente.llnl.gov <---- Note new e-mail address (415) 447-3405
