For one thing you asked for desert island discs, not favorite
recordings.  The anthology does contain my favorite eight CDs of all
time.   However, when you're talking about choosing only ten CDs to 
listen to for the rest of my life I'm forced to forgo some of my
favorites in order to obtain a little more variety.
