digesting notes: note the digest

I can but agree with woj.
I spent a year and a half sucking on gaffa through the rec.music
straw... but you can't breathe through because it's too narrow.
When I was away for more than a week, I'd miss expiring
entries.  And the transmissions tended to flake out now and then,
so that whole bunches of things might never appear.  
I switched to digest and quickly discovered that mail is alot
more reliable, and even more convenient than notes.
With the filter I whipped up, it is also manageable.
I would recommend it to people who are so inclined.
(obviously, when it's working, notes has other advantages...)
