I don't know about the charges involved (per digest speaking), because
I get CompuServe free (don't ask ;-).  But to get the digest mailed to
you, just send a letter To:
">INTERNET: Love-Hounds-request@EDDIE.MIT.EDU"
I think the sender's CIS address is automatically appended to the
message so Love-Hounds knows where to send it to.  By the way, to
address CompuServe from Internet it's:
"account.number@compuserve.com"
For example, mine is: "76004.2670@compuserve.com"
