Ain't it weird how things happen sometimes? Call it synchronicity, maybe...

I discovered Sheila Chandra's music just a week ago, and now here's a
message from half a world away which mentions her. Twilight Zone time...

Channel 4 over here has been showing us the Indian sport "Kabaddi", with
title music by Sheila Chandra. I thought it sounded very interesting,
sort of Indian music fused with New Age, so went out and bought her latest
CD. Very strange, and curiously addictive. Most of the instruments are
traditional Indian, but I seem to remember she uses synthesizers as well,
and most of the vocals are wordless, as in much New Age music.

Worth investigating by lovers of the female voice divine, IMHO.
