listened to an interview with grame wiggins of the band outback today. grame plays digeridu in the band - they habve a new album out on hannibal records called _bahka_ (i believe that is the spelling). it was just recently released - i haven't looked for it yet, but i will be keeping it on the want list. they will be touring the states sometime next year(as well as germanyt and sweden). also a new single from them will be appearing soon: a dance mix featuring a digeridu! yow! he played a rap beat on the thing - weird! fig- ured that digeridu fans (KaTefans seem to sometimes be them) would apprec- iate this. also, the new roy harper "album" found its ways into my hands today. it is a twenty minute song called "burn the world" and is absolutely magnificant. originally written in 1985 (or so), emi turned it down as not being commer- cial. now that roy is on awareness, it doesn't matter, so he released it. side one is the original studio demo given to emi and side two is a live recording of it from the bloomsbury theatre from a gig afew months or so ago. the live version is roy and guitar while the studio has more instrumentss. the live version is much more ... powerful, i guess is a way to say it. both of the above are recommended (and play side two of "burn the world" real loud when and if you find it - annoy your neighbors, it might expose them to some good music - i know i do :) woj
