the boxed set

hello all...

some info i gleaned from a record store person (a knowledgable one
this time). it seems that importers in the states are getting the cd
box set in some kind of organized fashion. according to warren (at
desert island music in potsdam, ny), a list of interested stores was
drawn up and then they were given one disc apiece and then any extras
were given to stores in alphabetic order down the list. weird.
anyways, i'm getting warren's second set (and it's being mailed to me
directly :)

what i'm not sure about is how this works with the question of limited
edition of not. we seem to have many conflicting reports and this info
does not shed any light on the situation, as it maybe only the first
copies that are being restricted like this for american importers. and
i have no idea about japanese or canadian pressings either. i am going
to talk to malcolm tomorrow at pellet records and see what he might know.
