Oh, England

This is going to be another one of those KonvenTion travel things, so my
(sincere) apologies to those who aren't interested... just one more month,
and it will all be history.

My sister is in the European travel business, and I've got contacts at
Harvard Student Agencies (publishers of the venerable Let's Go series),
so I am hearby offering whatever London lodging/travel info I can dig
up to interested l-hounds. ***DISCLAIMER*** I've only been to London
once, and that was 17 years ago; I am in no way an authority. I _can_,
however, probably come up with some hotel/B&B/etc. recommendations.
One general comment: my sister and others report that the UK and the
continent are more expensive than even the 1990 travel guides predict:
Italy, Switzerland, and Germany are apparently about half again as expensive
for US travellers. Be prepared to be unpleasantly suprised...

It will take a few days to come up with the London info, but people who are
interested can email me (so we cut down on the l-hounds bandwidth) at

gb10@gte.com (Greg Bossert)

Send me your address and I'll email along whatever I can find. I'm happy
enough to be a clearing house for people looking to share a room (I am,
for one...) -- I thank you in advance for your patience if it takes me
a while to reply: life is being persistently interesting 'round here, and
I'm pretty busy...

Thanks to Mr. Burka for straightening me out on the Laurie Anderson quote!
