I'm not positive about the whole album, but I have the import CD
singles and the sound quality on those tracks is comparable to the US
CD of the album.  In other words, not great in either case.  Kate
should wake up and get some production values into her mixes.  I'm
beginning to agree with the guy who wrote that TSW turns your stereo
into a glazed donut.

They're all acceptable.  The Kick Inside is about what you'd expect
for the time: pretty horrid.  This is the domestic I'm talking about
here - the import may be god's aural gift for all I know.  The rest
are OK, none of them are going to win any engineering awards.  The
domestic version of The Whole Story is apparently terrible and should
be avoided at all costs (sadly an impossibility if one wants
Experiment IV and the new Wuthering Heights - you could always try to
have someone mail you the import from Britain, I suppose)
