Subject: Rock Block of Kate!
Here's what happened over the last hour or so: KITS has a thing called the Rock Block every weekday evening at 8 pm. Steve Masters announces the subject (sometimes an artist, sometimes a theme, sometimes a foreign country, etc.) perhaps an hour before, and he invites callers to make suggestions. Well, at 7:20, I caught him saying, "And our Modern Rock Block tonight will feature Kate Bush, so if you have a favorite Kate Bush song, call us up now." "Yay!" I said -- I was wondering if they were *ever* going to use her for the MRB. I didn't call them, because I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed no matter what songs they played. Then, just before 8, he said, "And right after these messages we'll have the Modern Rock Block, tonight featuring Kate Bush. We got lots of great Kate Bush requests, and we'll try to play as many as possible, right after this." (As many as possible = three, since that's how long the Rock Block always is.) And, at 8, he played "Experiment IV", "The Big Sky", and "The Sensual World." Yay! Ed (Edward Suranyi) | "Bush is an acquired taste worth Dept. of Applied Science | cultivating."
