Yes, the local public library usually gets _Billboard_ on Wednesday
or Thursday. Last week was a fluke. I always see the new issue on
newsstands on Wednesday.

Well, we can now start to compare how _The Sensual World_ is doing
with her previous albums. First of all, _The Whole Story_ doesn't
compare at all. I don't remember the exact positions (I'd appreciate
hearing from someone who does) but I recall that _TWS_ debuted at
around #150 and peaked at about #70.

So _TSW_ can only be compared with _Hounds Of Love_. Well, the latter
entered the albums chart at #74. But, don't forget, "Running Up That
Hill" had been in the Hot 100 singles chart for several weeks already.
Starting only 10 places back with no single hit isn't too bad.

The really outstanding news is the CD Pop chart. _Hounds Of Love_
*peaked* at #30, and this is *already* higher!

In other news, the album moved up from #30 to #16 at Tower Concord in its
second week. This is the store that I mentioned not being in a
neighborhood where alternative music is popular.

Also, Vickie Mapes told me that she was talking to the Chicago CBS
office, and she thinks that just *maybe* the video for "Love And Anger"
will be delivered next week. Don't count on it.
