I don't personally remember a "deal" in that IED agreed to do anything
if proved wrong about such-and-such.  I do remember Doug's making some
demands like "if I unearth such-and-such then you will please do
so-and-so."  I don't remember IED's saying "that sounds fair to me"
and the two e-shaking hands on it.

Would anyone like to correct me?
