Kee-riky, people. All former plans are rapidly sinking under
the weight of your sheer numbers. Here is the complete list of
people who have asked for a copy of the tape so far. IED is re-posting
the entire list because several people have been writing in to
say that they still haven't been listed when they _have_ been
listed, but in an earlier section of the list which they apparently
didn't receive or notice or save or remember or something.
The first two sections of the list are split between nos.
1-25 and nos. 26-50. The filling of the orders from the people on the
first of these two lists is a task which _Bob_Thaden_ has gallantly
agreed to undertake. Bob will _not_, however, do any more than that,
so if you are not listed among nos. 1 through 25, do _not_ send Bob
a tape.
The second section--nos. 26 through 50--have apparently been
accepted by _John_Bankert_. John wasn't exactly specific about just
how many tapes he would be willing to make, but apparently
25 was an acceptable number to him. If IED is wrong about this,
John should not hesitate to say so--no one would blame him. Meanwhile,
going on the assumption that he is agreeable, nos. 26 through 50
might as well mail John their tapes.
Which brings us to the rest of you. What to do? Nos. 51 through
98 (and counting) want cassettes filled and returned, and who's got
the time or equipment to do the job? Scott Yelich was an early
volunteer, but that was when only a few people had signed up. Would
Scott consider doing a few copies--say, nos. 51-60? Perhaps others
of you could "pledge" your copying services for a few numbers'-worth
each?
Anyway, "master" cassettes are now in the mail and on their
way to John Bankert and Bob Thaden. They will probably be able to
begin copying by the middle or end of next week. And if it takes
them another two weeks to do the copies, the first half of the
list will have got their tapes just about the same time that
the _second_EP_ of demos becomes available! Boy, did IED ever
screw this up, huh? Should have kept his big trap shut till
all the demos were out.
Here is the entire list. Kind of like Lotto Fever, isn't it?
