some early singles: Yesterday's Love/Nice Girls (Stiff Buy 74) Second Choice/Name Of The Game/Bible Belt (Buy 79) (released 27 June 1980) Girls Are Always Right/No Idea (Buy 94) Trouble With Love/She'll Belong To Me (Buy 119) not all cuts are on the two stiff albums, the first comes in two versions, a ten cut one and a twelve cut one (featuring (live ?) covers of springsteen and abba !!), second one features a richard thompson cover. two more "major label" lps, the last coves in both a single lp and double lp form, the latter not released in the us. richard t one one or both of these, his influence is apparant too ! (but these albums also feature a dance sound not really found elsewhere in gregson's work) also a live lp (german only ?) after any trouble split, gregson joined r t's touring band for a while, then put out some records with christine collister, very much in the r & l thomp. vein, but extremely excellent and featuring brailliant songwriting, even if the guitar work takes a leaf or two from r t's book ! new record "overdue", in the new year perhaps ? -- Colm Mulcahy | colm@mathcs.emory.edu PREFERRED c/o Emory University | {sun!sunatl, gatech}!emory!colm UUCP Dept of Math and CS | colm@emory NON-DOMAIN BITNET Atlanta, GA 30322 | best taste thrill: homemade red raspberry icecream
