It's called The Chalk Horse, and I don't know where it is.  There is a
photo of XTC standing in front of it on the cover of one of the issues
of "The Little Express".

I also saw it used as the background for a programme on BBC in 1979/80
called "Wayland's Smithy" or something.  In any case, that's the
phrase that sticks in my head.  Something about a magical horse and a
girl and ... one of those fantasy programmes.

Probably carved out of the hillside by pre-Roman Celts (back when they
had a civilisation and Europe was covered by a bunch of warring
tribes).
