KT News (sort of): ~~~ Yet _another_ Kate Bush bootleg LP has come into IED's hands, this one identified (not on the album itself) as originating from the U.K. It's called _Temple_of_Truth_. The LP is a single record, with a purple cover that features a strange photograph of what might be a small, ancient lighthouse or something, sitting on a precipice overlooking the sea. No explanation is given for the choice in cover art, and there are no liner notes or track listings. In fact, not even the source of the material is identified. The album contains part of one of the Tour of Life concerts, and it is different from any of the other recordings IED has heard to date. The sound is worse than on any other live concert bootleg, but it is easily recognizable, because the sound on this record has a peculiar way of coming in and out of "focus" in a cyclical pattern, rather like a shortwave radio station, except that the sound changes in tone rather than in level of distortion. Conclusion: This album is for must-have collectors only. It will not provide hours of listening pleasure. As now tallied, these are the concerts from which at least some excerpts have been made available on bootleg vinyl, tape or video: London Palladium London Hammersmith Odeon May 12 (with Peter Gabriel and Steve Harley); London Hammersmith Odeon May 13 (the source of the video and "On Stage"); Manchester Paris Mannheim/Hamburg Amsterdam Bristol "Temple of Truth" date (unidentified so far) That's all for now. -- Andrew Marvick
