Subject: Smiths and Kate Bush CD's
> From: es1e+@andrew.cmu.edu (Eric Lee Singer) >> have _The Smiths_ or _The Dead Kennedys_ put any of their albums >> on CD? > There are definitely Smiths albums on CD. Mostly they are imports, > and usually with different names/songs than U.S. releases. > Putting DK's on CD would be blasphemy. > [ Yet it's been done. -- |>oug ] I should make it clear now, that I can tend to become a bit absorbed when I start talking about the Smiths,R.E.M., and Kate Bush. To clear up the Smiths CD question; I currently own 'Strangeways, Here We Come' and 'Louder than Bombs.' However, I have SEEN, 'Smiths', 'Meat is Murder' and 'Queen is Dead' also on CD. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that they are easily acquired. But..."These things take time." (or to whom it may apply: Shoplifters of the World Unite) In regard to Kate Bush's 'The Whole Story': I consider it a good investment, even if you DO have all of her other CDs. For one, 'Experiment IV' does not appear on any of her other CDs and the recording of 'Wuthering Heights' has new vocals. These are minor points I suppose, unless you happen to be a BIG KB fan. I also recommend Kate Bush: The Whole Story Video. Which also includes 'The Big Sky'. As for Peter Gabriel: "...if I only could make a deal with God, and get him to swap our places..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | As of November 18, 1987; the Smiths are no more. | | ...and the pain was enough to make a shy, bald buddhist | | reflect and plan a mass-murder.... | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Suddenly my feet are feet of mud. It all goes slow-mo. I don't know why I'm crying. Am I suspended in Gaffa? - Ken Crissey
