It is my understanding that their are two bands using the name Screaming
Trees.  The American one is from Ellensburg, Washington, and has one
cassette and one LP out, both on Velvetone Records.  They were both
produced by Steve Fisk (ex-Pell Mell + numerous solo cassette projects).
They have since been signed by SST and should have new album out any
minute now.

I think the cassette is better than the LP, but both are good, ripping
garage neo-psych punk made by a four really unpretentious kids who are
still a bit awed by the thought of people they don't know listening to
their music.

98926.  Also ask about Fisk's solo cassettes... lots of interesting
synth and found-sound spoken word stuff.  Good cut-ups and loops of
stuff like Bobby Goldsboro and weird satanic cults.
