Just a thought: Did you ever notice how similar the story of Wilhelm Reich and his son is to that of the Peter Weir movie, "The Mosquito Coast"? Each is told from the point of view of a young boy, the son of a brilliant and charismatic but delusional paranoid psychotic man. Each is a memoir told by the son after the fact, but with the child's memories. In each, the father leaves his native country for a new, "pure" land where he hopes to found and expand his own intellectual/philosophical "empire", so to speak. And in each case, the father comes to a bad end, abandoning the son by dying, but giving the son greater insight into life, the universe and everything along the way. That's all. -- Andy
