Has anyone here heard of "totally wired?" It is some radio interview type
program that is sponsored by a half dozen arts and humanities councils
in Philly. Anyway, when I was coming back from Boston last weekend I
happened upon one of there programs on a NYC station. They were generally
on the topic of synthesized music, and the program was on Martin Russian
(sp?) and Kate Bush. She talked quite a bit about her fairlight work (It
was the first time I've heard her voice in normal speech--surprisingly
high-pitched...). Anyway, if anyone is interested, you can get transcripts
and/or cassette tapes of the program by writing to:
		Totally Wired
		PO Box 41002
		Philadelphi, PA ?????

It wasn't a particularly long program (1/2 hr maybe?), but it was kinda
interesting. They emphasized how M. Russian (does remixes for pop groups)
uses synths to make up for the lack of ability in the 'artists' he works
with, contrasting that with Kate's use of the fairlight to execute and
enhance the medium.

when the smell of the lawn makes you flop down on it,
when the teenage car gets the cop down on it,
		 that time is here
		 for one more year,
That summer feelings gonna haunt you the rest of your life...
