X-From: jer@peora.UUCP (J. Eric Roskos) X-From: root@peora.UUCP (Super-user) A few days ago, I posted a query in net.music asking for the words to "And the Band Played On". Finally someone sent them to me. It turns out there's not much to them... certainly not like Kate Bush. Songs from that era seem to have been mostly lyrically vacuous. Here it is, anyhow. ------- Forwarded Message Subject: Re: Looking for pointer to old songs References: <1681@peora.UUCP> I think that "And the Band Played On" is simply - Casey would waltz with the strawberry blonde And the band played on. He'd waltz with the girl with the strawberry curl And the band played on. His head was so loaded, it nearly exploded; The poor girl, she shook with alarm. He'd waltz with the girl with the strawberry curl And the band played on. And that's it. ------- End of Forwarded Message
