Someone mentioned Joni Mitchell the other day and last night I read the new interview with her in Vanity Fair. If you can stand the generally obnoxious tenor of this magazine, this is a fairly good article -- they let Joni talk a lot and try to keep their opinions and projections to a minimum. If you're a Chryssie Hynde fan you HAVE to read this! Funny scene with her and Carly Simon! Kate fans will find this interview of interest in that Joni berates the recording industry about many of the things we know (or guess at from innuendo) that Kate finds unpleasant as well. The review also sent me back to recent album Turbulent Indigo for a new listen. I'd forgotten I even had it . . . oh heresy! Karen kln@staralliance.com
