Subject: Re: Kate and Tori Date: 19 Mar 1997 04:15:02 GMT From: "Alan Chamberlin" <abckid@ix.netcom.com> To: rec-music-gaffa@uunet.uu.net I always thought that "God" from Under the Pink sounded much more like Kate than the recent Kate material. The comparison was inevitable given the album cover for Little Earthquakes, especially in America. Many in America only saw the American artwork of Kate inside the box. Little Earthquakes certainly seemed to be emulating that cover. Then the music, a passing similarity to Kate in appearance, etc. I've never really thought much of Kate/Tori comparisons. The artwork is similar but....then the other day I was flipping through a book on Tori that had a lot of rare pictures, including the cover of "Y Kant Tori Read." Tori is dressed up in chainmail with much the same pose as the Kate in chainmail pic. -chris
