Okay. I have two copies of "The Sensual World" album, the one I bought in October 1989 the day it was originally released (U.S.) and later contained in the This Woman's Work box set (1991, Japan). On the U.S. version Kate laughs right at the beginning of "The Fog." I have always made that connection. But on the Japanese version, the laughter occurs at the end of "Love and Anger." So which record company goofed? I could see her laughing finally at the end of "Love and Anger," but that "yeah" seemed climactic as it was (and echoed the previous song, "Sensual World," when it was ". . . mmm yes." Anybody have an idea? Yes, I'm like this during the last week of the Winter quarter in an intensive graduate program. :) Stormin' P.S. One of these days, I'll finally get a look at the Complete Kate song book which the music library at UCLA has, and copy like crazy. :) Can't wait for the new album, hopefully at the end of this year! Portishead's new album's coming out this October, so hopefully it will only be a matter of time! I don't know when, but just saying it can even make it happen!
