I have been a lurking love-hound for quite a while and i have decided to decloak
to let you all know that this past weekend i experienced an amazing woman
guitarist play l'amour looks something like you.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and saw a veryy well-known, amazing
guitar player name Shelley Doty perform l'amour on a 1959 Gison hollow body
given to her by The famous author and prankster Ken Kesey.

She is far and above the greatest female guitar player i have seen or heard
perform. You can list everyone from Kate, Joan Armatrading, indigo girls,
bonni raitt, michelle shocked, lita ford, shawn colvin, etc., etc. and she
is up there at the very top. She has played with blues and jazz players,
rock and folk, alternativeincluding Booker T., Taj Mahal, Blues Traveler,
etc., etc.

i think you can read about her at http://www.rockweb.com/jambay
this is a page about the band jambay, which she was a founding member and
played with them for years 7+

anyway, the l'amour was a fantastic surprise! to see an african-american
woman, finger picking a hollow body jazz style guitar in an awesome version
of l'amour doing it justice.

again her name is Shelley Doty and if you get the opportunity to check her
out..DO IT. Also, if anyone knows where i can get more music, or info on
her please let me know.
