Speaking as a Tori fan of long standing (though not as long as I've loved Kate!), she does have strange ways of pronouncing things... "Girl" is often "guhl" when she sings it, and many others... it is helpful to know the lyrics. I think it has to do more with artistic license than anything... I mean, obviously she knows how things are pronounced, and has no trouble saying them when speaking. She often takes old songs and changes them when live, and so she also twists words to fit the music, rather than making the music fits the words. just my two cents, Shandra
