Hi, about a week ago Jodie asked about a version of Don't Give Up with Sinead O'Connor. Strange phenomena: Yesterday I found a Peter Gabriel bootleg called "So Alive" (by "Manic Monster Music", MMM03) that has a version of DGU with Tracy Chapman (no recording source is given) and another with Sinead O'Connor. The liner notes for this one say "recorded in Den Haag, May 1991" (but I think the only statement we can trust is what's printed on the back cover: "This recording is not authorized by the artist"). The version with Tracy Chapman is really interesting, cause her voice is quite different from Kate's. But IMHO she sounds a bit too timid, only once or twice she really shows what her voice can do. I like the version with Sinead better, though it's not that perfect either. If only I had a better recording of the live version with Kate. bye, Rolf
