Little light

Dear LoveHounds, 
 
I believe "The Ninth Wave" is about reincarnation, based on the imagery of
"the light" at the beginning and at the end of the story. 
 
 
"Little light shining,  
Little light will guide them to me 
My face is all lit up 
My face is all lit up" 
   - And Dream of Sheep 
 
"The light 
Begin to bleed, 
Begin to breathe, 
Begin to speak" 
    - The Morning Fog 
 
 
Many people who have a near-death experience report having seen a light
which they are drawn towards.   
 
When a baby is born, the first thing they see is a "light at the end of the
tunnel" when they come out of the womb. 
 
Perhaps this light is one and the same. 
 
"Being born again, 
Into the sweet morning fog, 
D'you know what? 
I love you better now."
