Here's something of interest in the paper this morning:

Front page article in the Wall St. Journal today says that so far in 1996 state 
and federal law enforcement agents have seized more than 700,000 bootleg compact 
disks, compared with 80,000 all of last year.  In July 87,000 bootleg CDs were 
seized from three locations in NY.  The brief article also explains that most 
bootlegs are of concert recordings and are produced overseas without the 
performers permission.  Antibootleg laws have been strengthened, prompting many 
stores to discontinue selling them.
