According to the Radio Times (29 June - 5 July) a new series of radio programmes starts on BBC Radio 2 at 1000pm on Thursday 4th July. It is called "I Write the Songs"- Don Black presents a 6-part series in which he enjoys and interprets the songs of a diverse collection of singer/songwriters. 1: Kate Bush. There is a sidebar with a small photo of Kate and this text: "Kate Bush first came to the attention of the British public with a hit inspired by her love for the Emily Bronte novel Wuthering Heights. In this new series, lyricist Don Black will be asking his fellow practicioners what has inspired their lyrics, what they mean to them and how they have been interpreted by other performers".
