Hiya everyone, Tom Howe <howet@ohsu.EDU> asked: >I'm preparing a list of all RCA VideoDisc titles, and am trying >to determine if The Kate Bush video, "The Single File" was ever >released in this format. I know this exists on LaserDisc, but >have heard conflicting reports about its existence in the RCA >VideoDisc format. The difference is that LaserDiscs come housed >in a cardboard sleeve just like those used for 12" audio records, >while RCA VideoDiscs come in a hard plastic caddy from which the >disc is automatically removed by the CED player. Any info on this >will be appreciated. I heard of there being a laserdisc, although I'm not sure about the exact co-ordinates. However, I do own a copy of the RCA VideoDisc. It was printed in the USA in 1984, has the same tracks as the ordinary video. The catalogue-number is 33906 and it's UK/PAL format.I found it quite by chance a few years ago, and wonder if there are still machines around that can actuallty play it. Anyway, Tom, the item definitely exists and should you need any other info about it, please don't hesitate to contact me.. . Then 10mm@mbay.net remarked: >And isn't it a given that all Kate fans are also Beatles/Bowie/Gabriel >fans? Hmmm... I love the Beatles and McCartney, I admire Bowie, but I wouldn't call myself a Gabriel-fan. Until I heard the tremendous live-version of "Don't Give Up" at Earl's Court in 1987, I didn't even like the song. Hope no one will accuse me of blasphemy for this :) The only reason I bought it, was because it happened to feature Kate... Over the years, I did grow more fond of Gabriel's music, though, or rather it kind of grew on me, but I still don't think of myself a fan. Sure, I like the music, but it doesn't touch me in the way Kate's. Tori's or Happy's does.. Then uonj@rz.uni-karlsruhe.de asked: >P.S.:How do you become a KaTe fan ? It all started with "Running Up That Hill", followed by "Hounds Of Love" and a subsequent addiction :) Finally, following in the books-thread (yup, I'm late in catching up on digests again :) ), here are my favourites: "The Collector" - John Fowles "Wuthering Heights" - Emily Bronte (Thank you Kate :) ) "Life and loves Of A She-Devil" - Fay Weldon "The Picture Of Dorian Gray" - Oscar Wilde "The Survivor" and "The Lair" - James Herbert, and most of his other work as well "The Bell Jar" - Sylvia Plath "Prozac Nation" - Elsiabeth Wurtzel Most things by Stephen King and Tolkien. Anyway. I've rambled on enough for today :) Later folks, Emmy *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 'This is not a revolution, not a conclusion, just a little confusion' Tori Amos *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* lombaeg@mail.interpac.be Krd@www.dma.be emmy@opc25.ruca.ua.ac.be http://www.dma.be/p/bewoner/Krd/
