Feeling very much out of fashion IED confesses that his current non-Kateian listening and reading materials are: 1. Rachmaninoff, First and Second (early version) Piano Sonatas, Howard Shelley. 2. Rachmaninoff, the Suites for Two Pianos (Opp. 5 and 17), Thorson/Thurber. 3. Rachmaninoff, Third Piano Concerto, the old Viktor Merzhanov recording. 4. Scriabin, Fifth and Seventh Sonatas, Roberto Szidon. 5. Chopin, Preludes, Op. 28, Alfred Cortot's late cycle. 1. "The Magazine of Art", Vols. 1-3 (London, 1878-1880). 2. Jack Wasserman, "Leonardo da Vinci" (NY: Abrams, 1994). 3. Stephen Potter, "Supermanship, or How to Continue to Stay Top Without Actually Falling Apart" (London: Penguin, 1962, c1958). 4. Cyril Hare, "Tenant for Death" (London: Faber & Faber, 1937). 5. "The Wine Spectator", Vol. 21, No. 5 (June 30, 1996 issue). Mind, all the above is still just to kill time till he can get his hands on a copy of Common Ground... Nothing wrong with ol' IED! -- Andrew Marvick (IED) SRI
