: 5. William Shatner (I can't understand why he didn't put out
: more albums - he can sing just as well as he can act!)

Stev0 has never been more right. Bill's version of Rocketman is a rare
treat. I love Kate, but his is stunning! Such depth! Such emotion!

Ron's Top Five Favorite Other Bands/Artists*

- The Cure.
I don't wear as much black as I used to, but they are still great.
- Los Lobos.
Best band out of East L.A....or West L.A....or California...
- Midnight Oil.
If ever under interrogation, all they'll hear are the lines from "Beds are
Burning"
- Pet Shop Boys
...even though one of 'em said something bad about Kate...
- Ted Hawkins
Great blues. Great voice. Listen to "the next hundred years" and see what
I mean.

The runners up recieve a lovely parting gift: Sugar/Bob Mould, They Might Be
Giants, Sinead, Erasure (can you tell what decade I was a teenager in?)

*To those of you who feel that listening to anything other than Kate is an
injustice, please note that she occupies slots 1 through 23 in my 100 disc
player. Common Ground will be 24...woo...woo...

transmission ends now...
