Los Angeles, CA...April 12, 1996 -- The Save The Earth Foundation
announced today that its electronic rock art auction to benefit
the environment will feature autographed concert posters and
memorabilia from more than 100 different recording artists.  

As a special treat to the fans of the late Jerry Garcia, Save The
Earth will auction a series of his limited edition lithographs.
Each of the pieces is hand-signed and comes with a certificate of
authenticity.  The auction will  start on
Earth Day--Monday, April 22nd--and run through May 20th 

The Save The Earth Foundation has produced eight fundraising
auctions on its Website since last Earth Day, and will continue
to do so on a bi-monthly basis throughout the coming year.  So
far, the site has been fortunate to be able to offer autographed
posters and other assorted memorabilia from a variety of
performers crossing over virtually all music tastes, from the
Rolling Stones to Yanni to Huey Lewis to Robert Cray to The Red
Hot Chili Peppers. Users can view full color images of the items
to be auctioned, check current bids, and enter their own bids
right from their desktop.  To participate in our ongoing auction
series, simply log onto the site from our World Wide Web address
at http://www.commerce.com/save_earth.

The Save The Earth Foundation is a non-profit organization which
provides funding for environmental research at colleges and
universities throughout the country. Entirely non-political in
nature, the Foundation awards grants to institutions of higher
learning whose research is focused on finding practical and
lasting solutions to environmental problems.

To date, Save The Earth has contributed nearly $500,000 towards
environmental research, raising funds through a variety of means
including the sale of licensed products bearing the Save The
Earth "globe" logo, promotional tie-ins with fast food chains and
fund raising events.

The Save The Earth Artrock Auction is being produced by Ken
Margolis Associates, a leading fundraising consulting and public
relations firm which specializes in working with the music
industry. World Wide Web programming services and related online
communications support are being generously contributed by Global
