Went on a little trip out yesterday, to a book conservation centre, and the guy asked me if I wanted to see something really special. He opened his safe and placed in my hands a letter Emily Bronte had written. The handwriting was tiny and I couldn't read it very well, but it was so amazing. There was also a first edition of a book of her poetry, which was being painstakingly restored. A good day! Kate, I recommend a visit if you're ever in the north of England! Esther..xx
