I guess we're copping from many people everday then.  Both comments
above I find rather assanine myself.  Who's to say Kate isn't working?
An artist does more than just spend ALL of her time at her work, you
know.  (You have to have a life before you can even create).  And Tori
doing P.R. work . . . give me a break.  She probably has her
influences, yes.  She may have either conscious or unconsciously
echoed Kate at times, but Tori's music is not Kate's.  I think the
claim that Tori is trying to be Kate is an absurd one.  She has her
own songwriting style and has done things with music that's not always
similar to Kate's.  Like Kate really came out of nowhere.  She has her
influences, too, though Kate's contribution has certainly been unique,
startling to say the least.
