If we are to believe Fred Vermorel ;-), this must be an age thing. In his Kate-related 
magnum opus, "The Secret History of Kate Bush..." (1983), he writes in a footnote 
something to the effect of that she doesn't seem to understand anger, or even know 
what it is.
