I was listening to the CBC one morning and a piece came on that the host said
was called "I Am the Rose of Sharon", which in itself isn't so strange, except
that the first two lines were "I am the Rose of Sharon/I am the Lily of the
Valley" which of course sound an awful lot like two lines from The Song of
Solomon.
Is there something that I don't know about these two flowers? Some symbolic
implications about the two of them together?
Has Kate ever addressed this?

Hi Sharon,

Kate's "Song of Solomon" by inspired by the Bible (old testament)
...Check it out...look under Song of Solomon. There are
references to the Rose of Sharon, Lily of the Valley,
comforting with apples, sick of love.....

peace
