Has anyone seen the Vertigo Tarot deck? The Death card shows a
picture of a woman (Death, sister of Dream, for readers of Sandman)
holding a rose to her lips. It looks incredibly similar to the cover
of The Sensual World. Another thing that could show that it's Kate's
influence is that the introduction to the cards was written by Neil
Gaiman, who is a Kate fan.
Dave McKean is the artist who made the cards and he is also the
artist responsible for the covers of the Sandman comic books that
Neil Gaiman wrote. Check the cards out and tell me what you think
about the similarities.
