I, too, heard the Benatar version long before the Kate version. I even 
owned _Crimes of Passion_. but I was never much impressed with _Wuthering 
Heights_ a la Benatar. I don't know if it's just because I've changed and 
become more of a romantic, but hearing Cathy wailing to Heathcliff about 
being locked out of the house just didn't do anything for me. "Remember 
your damn keys next time, Cathy!"

Repentance: When I finally heard Kate sing it, then I saw the light. :-}
