This could possibly be the most boring post of the year, but the Daily Mail
"Night And Day" mag had a feature on rock stars pension plans. The only reason
I read this was because the "In this issue" page had a picture of Kate:
"In 1985 it cost Kate Bush 23,000. But by 1992, it was up to a whopping
223,000. What was she spending it all on ? Bulk buys of Marmite ? no her
pension plan." Ok yes I added the bit about Marmite but had to get a :) to spice
things up. The article only had this to add to these amazing facts:
"Lesson 6: Plan for the future. Sensible stars have pension plans. Kate Bush is
a mere stripling of 36. But between 1985 and 1992 she put away 1.4 million in
pension contributions. In the words of rock-biz accountant Jeff Gitter:
'Pensions are a serious business for pop stars. They get lots of money when
they're young, and not so much, probably, when they're old. Kate Bush makes huge
pension contributions. She could retire at 45 or 50, and by that time she'll
have a few million pounds in the fund, so that'll do nicely for the rest of her
life.'"

But you wish you'd bought the Mail on sunday too!
