Oh Australia My Koalaheart??

 I was just reading an article in the Arts & Leisure section of the Sunday
NYTimes on the Cranberries when this line stopped me cold:

 " The Cranberries blend a melody-driven musical style influenced by the
Australian singer Kate Bush..."
 
 The article was written by David E. Thigpen who according to the byline
writes about pop culture for Time Magazine. I don't know about everyone else
but I want to see this guy's credentials. I guess they don't teach Kate in
pop class like they use to in the old days. Damn, I guess education in this
country really is going downhill.:)
