Subject: Gaffa is a word....
To: LOVE-HOUNDS@UUNET.UU.NET
There are two questions which everyone is sort of mixing up. these are: 1. What does the song Suspended in Gaffa mean? 2. What is Gaffa? I think that Chris's long post quoting articles points out that Kate feels that question 1 is the most important aspect, while question two is basically irellivent. Gaffa is a word implying something which holds you back. Whether it is physical, and used as a metaphor, or spiritual, and is literal, it doesn't matter. What matters is the meaning of the SONG. That is what Kate was trying to get through in her interviews. After trying to explain what the song means, and having people say, yes, but what does GAFFA mean? She finally say " TAPE! IT's TAPE, YOU MORON!!!" out of frustration. When she should say, hey, it's not what GAFFA means, but what the song as a whole means. Gaffa could be anything. The song is what's important. Aaron
