Charles Baum: Thank you for the info on "Tsintsqaro" that you posted here! I was very excited to hear more details about the music and the region, etc. Does your ensemble tour? have you ever come to Seattle? I would love to hear your group... there's folks here that love Georgian music. I missed Rustavi when they came through, it must have been a few years back now... I won't miss them a second time. I'm a member of Seattle's City Cantabile Choir, a group that has done many different types of music since I joined three years ago. In our International Music Fest last spring, the men's chorus did "Golubice Bijela" from Croatia, "Zapyevala Bulbul Ptica" from Bosnia and "Nina" from Dalmatia, Croatia. Georgian men's choirs especially fascinate me, though: the strange, very straight and strident tone... very unusual and haunting as well. Thanks again for the translation, etc.!
