Copyright on the Net

For those of you who are interested in the issue of copyright laws and 
how they apply to the internet, there's an interesting article in the 
Wall Street Journal, 10/10/94, p. B6 on this topic.

Their conclusions are 1) it's a mess, 2) no-one knows what part of what 
laws apply, for instance it could be interpreted that copyrighted lyrics 
are "on display" since they are not being sold, 3) no-one knows what to 
do or how the heck to do it.  The Internet is too big and complex to be 
monitored for breaches of copyright.
