Another Brix tidbit: she used to be Nigel Kennedy's girlfriend, and I
even met her (sort of) back then.  I skipped work one day to go to
a Nigel Kennedy matinee concert (he's a classical violinist, if the
name sounds familar but you can't quite place him) and after the
concert I went backstage to meet him.  I had him sign my Kate Bush
"Experiment IV" 12" (he plays on the song, and others by Kate) and
he was the sweetest thing!  He exclaimed "Oh LOOK, a BUSHBABY!" and
smiled and hugged me, and said to this blonde woman sitting in the
dressing room "honey, come look! It's a bushbaby!" and she got up
to come over and look at the 12".  I said hi, and she said hi back, 
but most of my attention was taken with Nigel, who was just going on
and on about how great it was to work with Kate and how nice it
was to meet a Kate Bush fan. (I take it they'd been having to be
around a *lot* of stuffy people on this classical tour).

It was only later that I heard that Brix Smith was dating Nigel
Kennedy and I suddenly realized it was her!  ARRRGHHHHH!!!!!!
I wish I'd known!  I could have said something to her, about how
I liked Adult Net, and that I played her on my radio show.  It
would have been *so* nice for her (I'm guessing) to have someone
recognize her for herself.  I've felt bad about that ever since.

But it sure was nice to see Nigel in concert and have him so
delighted at my Kate 12" and just be a delightful person.
