I was about to mention http://www.mcc.ac.uk/Lyrics/, but I just got that page with Mosaic and now the only thing there is the message: "The Management regret to inform you that the Lyrics Archive has been removed because of potential copyright problems." I almost never attempt to ftp to ftp.uwp.edu without getting the too-many-users message ... fortunately, it includes other sites to try, and for lyrics lists: http://www.mcc.ac.uk/Lyrics/ http://www.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/isar/archive/music/ ftp.sunet.se:/pub/music/lyrics ftp.informatik.tu-muenchen.de:/pub/rec/music/vocal/lyrics/uwp The first one is removed, as I mentioned before. The second one is in German, but there's a button you can click to get it in English. The third site looks intact, and the fourth is the same place as the second. gmoore@u.washington.edu READ THE LINUX JOURNAL gary@ssc.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Former Vice-President and current U.S. Ambassador to Japan Walter Mondale says that gun bans attract criminals. He confirmed that a 20-member Japanese gang had fled America where it is "too dangerous because of the prevalence of guns in the homes" for the the "easy pickings" in gun-free Japan.
